Milestone Memoirs

"The story of how you got here has never been told properly. Not once, not in full, not by someone who knew how."

For lawyers, doctors, founders & career professionals

Turn a career you built with your hands into a book people can't put down.

We interview you, research your career, and ghostwrite a 30,000-word professional memoir — built to mark your milestone and work quietly for you long after.

You've spent twenty, thirty years becoming excellent at what you do. Somewhere in that time, a story worth reading quietly assembled itself — and no one has written it down.

Meanwhile, the version of you that’s public is thin. A LinkedIn bio. A “recognised for excellence” plaque. A five-minute award speech people forgot by dinner. None of it carries the weight of what you actually did, who you became doing it, or why anyone should trust you with what matters to them next.

Clients, patients, and juniors don’t remember credentials. They remember stories. And right now, yours belongs to you alone — untold, undocumented, and doing nothing for your name, your firm, or your family.

30,000

words of your career, researched and ghostwritten into a professional memoir

1 book

asset you can hand to a client, a mentee, or a journalist — long after any single conversation ends

What it is

A nonfiction book, built around your career — not just about it.

Milestone Memoirs exists to celebrate professional achievement — for the lawyer marking twenty years at the bar, the doctor closing one chapter of practice and opening another, the founder handing the business to the next generation, the actor whose name means something now.

We write nonfiction stories drawn from your actual career — travel, healthcare, psychology, military service, business, the courtroom, the theatre — and shape them into a book with the pace and pull of something people finish in a weekend, not a filing cabinet document nobody opens twice.

It’s built to do two jobs at once: stand as a dignified, permanent record of what you’ve built, and work as a marketing asset — something you place in a reception area, gift to a high-value client, or reference when a journalist calls.

Who this is built for

If your career has already arrived, this is for you.

Legal

Senior counsel or SAN marking a firm anniversary, silk, or a career milestone worth documenting properly.

Medical

Consultants and specialists ready to put decades of practice — and the patients who shaped it — into permanent record.

Business

Founders and executives approaching an exit, handover, or anniversary who want the story told before someone else tells it wrong.

Public figures

Actors, creatives, and other professionals whose next chapter benefits from a well-told account of the last one.

"Every career carries a story worth preserving properly — not just remembered, but written well enough to outlast the person who lived it."

Milestone Memoirs is led by the same team behind TruMemories, BAC’s legacy writing agency — the people who’ve spent years turning interviews, research, and lived experience into manuscripts ready for publishing.

Bukkie Allison — Founder & Creative Director, BAC

In their own words

Generals, ambassadors, professors — and the memoirs they trusted us with.

“Twenty years ago, I wrote my autobiography but I didn’t know how to improve on the manuscript, so I gave up. However, in 2023, I was introduced to Bukkie Allison Consulting by a publisher. They fleshed out the story by conducting interviews with me and a number of other people. These interviews and ghostwriting brought in fresh perspectives that made the story come alive and become interesting to read. Thanks to the BAC team, my manuscript was ready for publishing. Well done and thank you!”

Major General (Rtd) Paul Alaowei Toun

“I must highly commend the BAC team on the completion of my memoir project, which was ably led by Bukkie Allison. I find their enthusiasm, encouragement and professional insight absolutely invaluable to the timely execution of the project. The breadth and depth of the research undertaken by them have gone a long way to enrich the final outcome. Somehow, it has made me, as it turns out, a lot more knowledgeable about myself and my immediate surroundings. Without a doubt, an experienced editorial outfit like theirs has given me a shot in the arm in the successful realisation of the project. I will gladly work with them on any similar projects in the future.”

Ambassador E.O. Olusanmokun

Nigeria

“It is my pleasure to write this tribute to Bukkie Allison of Bukkie Allison Consulting as the reviewer of my book, a memoir titled “In Pursuit of Excellence, Truth and Justice.” Throughout the year-long review period, Bukkie took up the assignment with dedication, professionalism, flexibility, dynamism and diligence. Her response time at every step of the editing process was always prompt followed by gentle reminders to me. She was always ready to accommodate revised plans, at short notice, for upgrading the book to its fullest potential. Through her company’s network with other partners who are equally proficient, a smooth transition to the publishing phase was provided making the entire editing experience nurturing and empowering.”

Prof. Adenike Grange

“With Bukkie Allison Consulting, all I have to do is share my stories, and she turns them into written pictures. She perfectly captures my intentions – it’s almost like she can read my mind. She crafts the flow of the stories seamlessly, weaving in my emotions. She was an invaluable collaborator in writing my father’s postmortem biography. Currently, BAC is working on a new project focused on my mission work.”

How it works

Five chapters between the first call and a finished book.

Chapter

01

Discovery call

We learn the shape of your career, the milestone you’re marking, and who this book needs to move — clients, family, the profession, or all three.

Chapter

02

Interviews & research

Structured interview sessions with you, plus research into your career’s public record, pull the raw material for the manuscript.

Chapter

03

Ghostwriting

Our team drafts your 30,000-word manuscript in a voice that sounds like you at your most articulate, not like a stranger describing you.

Chapter

04

Review & refine

You review, we revise. This is your book — every chapter is shaped until it reads the way you’d want it read back to you.

Chapter

05

Launch-ready

A finished, professionally edited manuscript — ready to print, gift, publish, or fold into your next big announcement.

What's included

Everything it takes to go from career to book.

30,000-word manuscript

A complete, professionally ghostwritten nonfiction memoir built from your career.

Structured interview sessions

Guided conversations designed to surface the material a book actually needs — not just a résumé retold.

Research & fact-gathering

We do the digging so the manuscript is accurate, well-paced, and doesn’t rely on memory alone.

Editorial review cycles

Structured rounds of review so the final manuscript is genuinely yours.

Extra interviews or word count

Need more voices in the book, or a longer manuscript? Scoped and billed separately.

Manuscript development

If you’re starting from nothing — no notes, no draft, no outline — we build the manuscript from the ground up.

Travel & accommodation

For in-person interviews outside our base location.

Pricing

Every Milestone Memoir is scoped to the story being told.

Milestone Memoirs — Complete Package

No two projects are priced the same

Whether you already have a manuscript, how many people need to be interviewed, and the shape of your milestone all change the scope of the work — so we don’t quote a number before we understand what we’d actually be building for you.

  • Projects without an existing manuscript involve additional development work.
  • Extra interviews or word count beyond the base scope are priced separately.
  • Travel and accommodation for in-person sessions are billed separately.

On your discovery call, we’ll walk through your story, your milestone, and what the book needs to do — then follow up with a clear, itemised proposal.

Before you book the call

Questions we hear on almost every discovery call.

Why isn't there a price on this page?

Because scope drives cost — whether you have an existing manuscript, how many interviews are needed, and your timeline all change what the project actually involves. We'll understand all of that on your discovery call first, then send a clear, itemised proposal.

I don't have any notes, drafts, or an outline — can we still do this?

Yes. Most clients start with nothing written down. That's what the interview and research phase is for — we build the manuscript from conversation and research, not from a document you hand us.

Will it actually sound like me?

That's the point of the interview sessions. We're not writing a generic biography — we're capturing how you actually speak and think, and shaping that into prose. You review every chapter before it's final.

How long does the process take?

Timelines depend on your interview availability and the scope agreed on the discovery call. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we understand your milestone date and how much material exists already.

Is this confidential?

Yes. What you share in interviews, and what goes into the manuscript, is between you and our writing team until you decide what to publish and where.

What if I want more than 30,000 words, or more people interviewed?

Both are common requests — colleagues, family members, or long-time clients often add real texture to the story. We'll scope and price additional interviews or extended word count once we know what the book needs.
